SEQUESTO vs Loopio for Financial Services & Insurance

In financial services, a DDQ answer becomes part of the contract, and the client's regulator may read it. Loopio answers DDQs from a library of approved answers. SEQUESTO runs the whole response: James answers only from your approved policies, applies your compliance rules to every answer, routes the sensitive ones to legal and compliance, and tracks every document the client asks for, in the client's own file.

Honest Positioning

Where Each Platform Shines in Financial Services

Loopio is a good fit if you…

01Answer mostly DDQs and RFPs sent as Excel files, from a library your team already keeps current
02Want DDQ answers inside Salesforce, Dynamics or Microsoft 365

SEQUESTO is a better fit if you…

01Want compliance rules, such as legal approval before any fee commitment, applied to every answer the AI writes
02Receive DORA, outsourcing and ICT third-party questionnaires in every format, PDF included, each with its own document requests
03Want compliance and legal to review only the answers that need them, in the order your sign-off requires
04Want every answer traceable to the approved source it came from, with how it was built and who approved it
05Need your choice of EU or US hosting, ISO 27001 certification and a SOC 2 Type II audit

Common Frustrations

Where Loopio Runs Out of Room in Financial Services

Based on Loopio's own published material, checked November 2026. In our view, these are the moments where a library-first tool asks the most of an RFP team in financial services.

Approved Answers Still Need a Rulebook

Loopio keeps approved answers in a library, with review cycles and owners. But in financial services the risk is less the stale answer than the new commitment: a most-favoured-nation fee clause, a service level, an exclusivity. A library does not know your rules. In SEQUESTO you write them once, such as "never commit to a most-favoured-nation clause without legal approval", and James applies them to every answer he drafts. When a question would break one, he flags it and assigns it to legal.

Compliance Reads 250 Rows to Find a Dozen

Loopio can route answers for approval, but someone still has to find the rows that commit the firm to something, and every AI draft still has to be checked before it goes out. James shows the source on every answer, marks "Needs review" where there is none, and sends compliance and legal the answers that need them, in the order your sign-off requires.

DDQs Come With Document Requests, and Not Always in Excel

A DDQ or a DORA questionnaire asks for documents as well as answers: the business continuity plan, the assurance report, the latest financial statements. Regulated clients send them in their own format, Excel, Word or PDF. Loopio exports back to the client's Word or Excel file, not to PDF. In SEQUESTO every document request becomes an item with an owner, James gathers the current version from your Knowledge Hub and fills the client's own file, PDF included.

Where Loopio Wins

Loopio is well established in financial services, with a library built for approved DDQ language: review cycles, content owners and deep integrations with Salesforce and Dynamics. Users rate it 4.6 out of 5 on G2 and praise its ease of use. It holds ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 certification and a SOC 2 Type II report. For a content team that keeps the DDQ library current, it does the job. But a DDQ answer is one step of a mandate search. SEQUESTO runs all of them, with your compliance rules applied to every answer.

Migration

Switching From Loopio: How It Works

01

Bring Your Loopio Library, If You Want

Export your Loopio DDQ library and past responses if you want to keep them. You don't have to: SEQUESTO works from any file, approved policies, past DDQs and RFPs, with no question-and-answer pairs to build first.

02

Drop In Your Policies and Past DDQs

Upload your policy set, past DDQs and RFPs in Excel, Word, PDF or slide decks, in any language, or connect SharePoint and Google Drive. Everything is indexed automatically: no preprocessing, no tagging, no mapping answers to questions.

03

We Tailor It to You

Our team does this step for you. In a one-hour session you walk us through how you work, and we set the aOS up around it: your sign-off order, your compliance rules, your tone of voice, your personas, the properties you track on every mandate and your dashboards. Nothing to build on your side. Included on every plan.

04

Start a Full DDQ the Next Day

Documents uploaded, one hour with us, and the aOS can be ready the next day, set up properly around your sign-off and your rules. Then start on a live DDQ or RFP: James drafts from your approved sources, compliance and legal sign off, and every approval is logged from the first submission.

See a DDQ Run End to End in SEQUESTO

Bring your last DDQ and two of your compliance rules. In 30 minutes we show you the drafts, the flagged answers and the client's file filled from your approved content.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Both answer DDQs from approved content. Loopio does it from its Q&A library, question by question. SEQUESTO answers from your approved policies and past DDQs, with or without a library, applies your compliance rules to every answer, routes the sensitive ones to compliance and legal, tracks every document request and fills the client's own file, PDF included. In our view, SEQUESTO is the better fit when a DDQ is part of a wider bid with sign-off, documents and deadlines; Loopio when a content team mainly answers DDQs in Excel.

Not without a flag. You write company rules once, such as "never commit to a most-favoured-nation fee clause without legal approval", and James applies them to every answer. When a question would break one, he flags the conflict and assigns it to legal instead of answering. Company rules win over personal ones.

As a bid. James turns every question and document request into an item with an owner, answers from your current policies with the source shown, and fills the client's own file, whether Excel, Word or PDF. The coverage check lists what is still open before you submit.

Yes, in the order your sign-off requires. Each reviewer sees the answers assigned to them, and every approval is recorded with the person and the time. Loopio also offers multi-step approval workflows; SEQUESTO adds how each answer was built, step by step, so a reviewer can check the reasoning, not only the source.

In the EU or the US, as the customer chooses when the account is created, on every plan; the choice cannot be changed later. The AI runs in the same region, with full tenant isolation. Customer data is never used to train AI models. SEQUESTO is ISO 27001 certified and SOC 2 Type II audited.

Yes, if you want to. Export the library and past DDQs and drop them into the Knowledge Hub, which accepts Excel, Word, PDF, images and slide decks and indexes them automatically. It isn't required: SEQUESTO answers from your approved policies and past DDQs as they are, without question-and-answer pairs. Switching can go fast: upload your documents, walk us through your process in a one-hour session, and our team configures the aOS around your sign-off order, compliance rules, tone of voice, personas and dashboards. It can be ready the next day. Onboarding is included on every plan.
